The Effects of Light With Rainbows

As everyone knows, rainbows are just light. But why can you never get to one, even if you walk for miles?        Here's why.

  1. Sunlight shines onto raindrops, causing it to refract. (Split apart)
  2. When the sunlight refracts, it splits into the seven colors of the rainbow, creating a rainbow.
  3. When you try to walk to the rainbow, steps 1 and 2 repeat with raindrops farther away from you, causing the rainbow to be the same distance away from you when you weren't walking.
  4. As long as you keep walking, step 3 repeats.
